Patrik Krivanek is a Czech film and TV Director, Producer, and Writer based in London (United Kingdom) and Prague (Czech Republic) - working across the globe. He's known for emotionally thought-provoking and visually-driven storytelling with an excellent eye for detail and outstanding work with actors. He graduated from the world-renowned Film BA (directing & screenwriting) course at the Westminster Film School in the United Kingdom, where he was also the Vice President of the Film Society and Director of the Westminster Film Festival. He previously studied at the Film & TV School Wales (University of South Wales - formerly Newport Film School). During his studies, he became a member of BAFTA Wales, British Film Institute (BFI), International Screenwriters' Association (ISA), and a member of the Royal Television Society (RTS).
His experience includes working in executive roles on many short and feature films, high-end commercials, and television programs. He has produced and developed projects with multi-million dollar budgets and worked on projects directed or produced by Academy Award®, BAFTA, and Emmy®-winning filmmakers; including Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman. As a Director, Producer and Screenwriter, he's now preparing his directional feature debut, Muddy Shoes, with an expected theatrical release in 2024. As a Producer, he has another 5 feature-length projects in pre-production/development (with budgets of up to $10MM USD)
Additionally, he's a CEO/founder of Ephor Pictures Ltd, an independent film and TV production company based in London. He's also a multi-award-winning filmmaker; Many of the films/screenplays he has written, directed or produced have either won or been nominated for awards at internationally recognized film festivals around the world, including Los Angeles, New York, Austin, Toronto, London, Berlin, Cardiff, and Prague.
